ISLAMABAD, May 4, 2023: Yango, an international firm specializing in digital urban mobility services, is poised to initiate a trial phase of its services in Pakistan and commence its investment endeavors. This announcement was made by Anton Zykov, GR Vice President of Yango, during a meeting held with the Board of Investment (BOI) on Thursday. The virtual meeting was presided over by Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the Federal Minister for the Board of Investment, and moderated by Asad Rehman Gilani, Secretary of BOI.


In his address to the Yango delegation, the minister warmly welcomed the company's decision to invest in Pakistan and initiate test-mode services within the country. He expressed his desire for Yango to explore additional avenues of development as well. Affirming full support to the Yango team, the minister assured them that any issues they encounter will be addressed with utmost priority.


Anton Zykov, GR Vice President of Yango, shared with the meeting that the company has a successful operational presence in over 20 countries spanning Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. Yango is engaged in various domains, including ride-hailing, food technology, delivery services, and e-commerce.


He further elaborated that concrete plans have been finalized for investment in the Pakistani market. These endeavors are poised to contribute by attracting substantial foreign investment, creating both direct and indirect job opportunities, and ushering in digital transformation within Pakistan's transportation infrastructure.
